Summer Youth Police AcademyThe Suffolk County Police Department in conjunction with the Suffolk County Youth Bureau and the Suffolk County Police Athletic League will be conducting the Summer Youth Police Academy. The academy is open to students of both genders, ages 13-18 years old, who are interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement.

The program is to be divided into two separate sessions: the first session will be held the week of July 22-26; the second session will occur the following week of July 29 - August 2. Both sessions will be conducted at the Suffolk County Police Academy located at the Brentwood campus of the Suffolk County Community College during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily. Each student can select one of the two weeks to participate in the training. Participating students will receive a summer uniform.
