Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

Aligned with the Brentwood Union Free School District’s Mission and Vision, the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) collaborates with human resources, educators, scholars, families, and the community to cultivate a growth culture. We work to empower stakeholders by leveraging the NYSED Culturally Responsive Education Framework to create and sustain equitable policies and procedures, building trusting relationships, while ensuring all students are learning and growing in culturally responsive environments. By aligning educational pathways with students’ cultures, strengths, preferences, and interests, we ensure that all students graduate ready to succeed in the workforce or in post-secondary education, equipped to lead meaningful lives in a diverse, global society. Through this commitment, we foster a sense of belonging for every member of our school community.
