Summer Learning

Brentwood Summer Learning Program

Summer is a time for fun and relaxation, but it is also a time to learn new hobbies and strengthen your skills.  The Brentwood Union Free School District wants to ensure that all of our students continue to learn and grow even during the summer months.  The Summer Learning Program is a set of engaging learning activities that students can work on either independently or with the help of a guardian. Each of these sources has been reviewed and approved by the district’s curriculum specialists.  We hope that this resource can be added to your child’s daily routine to reinforce skills that will bolster success in the fall.  We suggest that students spend a minimum of one hour per day on learning activities.

Suggested Daily Schedule

Each day have your child select one activity from each of the sections listed in the chart below for at least 15-20 minutes to improve their skills and prepare for the upcoming school year. You can re-visit the same one again or choose different activities every time. At the end of the week your child should reach at least 5 hours of study.
