Learn at Home

The Brentwood Union Free School District is committed to ensuring that all students continue to learn and grow each day.  In the event that schools are closed, we want students to continue to learn at home.  We encourage you to use this time to work with your student using the online resources provided on this page.  These materials supplement what your student has been learning at school and will support independent learning. It is very important that students continue to read, write and engage in social studies, science, and math activities when school is not in session.

Mental health and Wellness Resources

During this time of unprecedented challenge and uncertainty there may be any number of questions and concerns that you have with regards to the care, welfare and safety of yourself and your loved ones.  The Brentwood School District endeavors to be a constant and reliable source of support and comfort by providing ongoing accessibility, resource and advice.  With this goal in mind we have opened a COVID-19 Hotline that will be staffed with the Brentwood School District Nurses, Social Workers and Guidance Counselors.  When calling in to the COVID-19 Hotline you can expect to:

1. Speak with a Brentwood School Social Worker, Nurse or Guidance Counselor
2. Receive support, suggestions and strategies for coping with and responding to the mental, emotional and physical stressors associated with the COVID-19 crisis
3. Be aligned with resources in the school and or Brentwood community specific to your individual medical and or mental health needs and or concerns including but not limited to crisis support centers, mental health/medical clinics, COVID-19 testing centers, food pantries and bereavement

Through these difficult and challenging times, the Brentwood School District remains committed to providing our students and families with social-emotional, mental and medical health support, strategies and resources.  The COVID-19 Hotline will be available to support your needs Monday – Friday from 8:00AM – 3:00PM. The phone number to call is 631-972-1601.  Families in need are encouraged to reach out as often as necessary for support and resources.

Many of the resources that have been gathered and consolidated for Hotline call-in’s can also be found in the below link found on this page for your access.
