Voter Registration will be held every day throughout the school year except five days prior to the date of the District Budget Vote.

Directions for the submission of Absentee and Early Mail Voting Ballot Applications

Absentee Voting

Absentee Ballot Applications may be obtained, beginning on April 20, 2026, from the Administrative Center, 52 Third Avenue in Brentwood or via the district web site (www.bufsd.org) or by clicking below. Ballots will be issued upon the satisfactory completion and submission of the application form. Applications will not be accepted electronically. The deadline for filing an Absentee Ballot Application, if the ballot is to be mailed to the resident, is Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. The deadline for filing an Absentee Ballot Application, if the ballot is to be personally delivered to the resident, is Monday, May 18, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. Absentee Ballots may be issued to third parties representing the voter provided the third party is identified on the Absentee Ballot Application and is able to provide proper identification when picking-up the ballot from the Office of the District Clerk. Absentee Ballot Applications will not be received prior to April 20, 2026. All Absentee Ballots must be filed with the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Early Mail Voting

Military Ballots

As you may be aware, the district recently purchased new voting machines. These new machines allow the district to use scannable absentee ballots and scannable early mail ballots. At the closing of the polls, the district will be able to feed the absentee and early mail ballots into the machines to be counted. Members of the public are welcome to observe the scanning of these ballots once the polls close at 9:00 p.m. All legally required election procedures will remain in place.
