5120 School Census
(This policy replaces previously approved Board of Education Policy #5116)
The Board of Education may choose to authorize a census of all children residing in the school district from birth to 18 years of age. The Board recognizes its obligation to locate and identify students, from birth to age 21 years of age with disabilities who reside in the district. A register of such students entitled to attend school or receive preschool services shall be developed. Data collected through the office of the Coordinator of Attendance and Registration shall be made available to the Committee on Special Education (CSE) and the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) by October 1 of each year.
