2121 Board Member Qualifications

The qualifications of a candidate for the office of member of the Brentwood Board of Education are that the candidate:

  1. Must be able to read and write;
  2. Must be a qualified voter of the District; that is, a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age or older; and
  3. Must be and have been a resident (must have primary residence within the boundaries of the School District) of the District for a continuous and uninterrupted period of at least one year prior to election.

No current employee of the Brentwood Union Free School District may serve as a member of the Brentwood Board of Education, while employed by the Board, except as permitted by law.
