0310 Board Self-Evaluation
- 0000: Philosophy, Goals and Objectives
The Board of Education is committed to the continuous improvement of the District and its own functioning. Accordingly, the members of the Board shall conduct a self-evaluation annually, in June at a special meeting, to determine the degree to which they are meeting their responsibilities as Trustees and the needs of their educational community. The District Clerk will distribute the attached questionnaire on the first working day in March of each year. All forms should be returned to the District Clerk on the first working day in May of that same year. The completed forms shall be compiled into one final Board Self-Evaluation Form, which shall be approved by the Board at their annual Reorganization Meeting in July.
This self-evaluation shall be positive, frank and honest, and shall focus on evaluating the Board as a whole, not as individuals. The self-evaluation shall be based on the goals the Board sets for itself, not on goals it sets for the entire District. The results of the evaluation shall be used to establish priorities for action and specific goals and objectives to strengthen the operation of the Board.
The Board shall use the printed self-evaluation forms attached (0310-F1 and 0310-F2).
The completed Board self-evaluation forms shall be kept in the Office of the District Clerk.
