Brentwood's Step Team, the Xplosive Stepperz, took home the First Place trophy for the second consecutive year at the World of Step International Festival held in Manhattan on May 25.

The group also claimed the Viewers Choice Award at the WOS Championship meet, which was the culmination of the four-day long event held at the First Corinthian Baptist Church located just blocks from the famous Apollo Theater. The Xplosive Stepperz won with their routine entitled "Locked Up," which told the story of how the Stepperz were imprisoned for defeating legendary teams of the past only to break free thanks to their innovative moves and steps.
