Ahead of the school Thanksgiving break, schools and departments of the district came together to collect food donations to support families in the community. Schools including Brentwood High School, East Middle School, Twin Pines Elementary, Southwest Elementary, West Middle, and Pine Park Elementary, played a key role in this generous initiative. The Brentwood Family Center along with the district departments at the Administration Building were also key contributors.
Thanks to the overwhelming support, the district was able to provide Thanksgiving meals for nearly 200 families. A heartfelt thank you to Island Harvest for donating all the turkeys, chickens, and Thanksgiving fixings that helped make the holiday special for many families in need.
Additionally, the district is grateful to The Lions Club, St. Paul’s Lodge, The Rotary Club, the Town of Islip, and ELM Logistics for their generous donations. A special thank you also goes to the dedicated staff who worked tirelessly to ensure all meals were delivered before Thanksgiving, making this effort a success.
This collaborative effort truly exemplifies the strength of the Brentwood community, united in supporting families during the holiday season.
