November BOE Meeting Honors State Champions, Community Members

At the Nov. 16 Board of Education meeting, the Brentwood community came together to honor two distinct groups that are both important to the district.

With the date marking the celebration of National Family Engagement Month, the Board recognized the Parents' Association of the Green Machine Marching Band. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the marching band's existence. In addition, the PTA Presidents and leadership from each school were also honored for their commitment to serving the Brentwood community.

Lastly, the boys' varsity soccer team was honored for completing a perfect season that resulted in the winning of the inaugural New York State Class AAA championship. The title marks Brentwood's fifth state championship and was the culmination of a 22-0 season that saw the team rise to the No. 4 ranking in the nation according to United Soccer Coaches.
