Laurel Park and Loretta Park Elementary Schools were the sites of a school supplies drop-off courtesy of the United Way of Long Island's Stuff-a-Bus initiative on Sept. 13.
Both schools greeted the members of United Way and other volunteers and posed for photos in front of the Suffolk Transportation bus that delivered the supplies. Each box was labeled with respective school items (i.e. folders, glue, pens, etc.) and were brought into the schools to ensure that students have all the requisite supplies they need to have a successful school year.
Ms. Ortiz-Rivera and Assistant Superintendent for Business Ms. O'Connor were present at Laurel Park to thank the United Way and the volunteers for their donations.
