Students from the Brentwood school district gathered on Saturday, March 8 to participate in Dia de Ciencas – a science event that aims to increase awareness of STEM fields and careers. The event, hosted at the Sonderling gymnasium and in partnership with the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) and Stony Brook University, gave students of all ages the chance to see the wonders of science up close.
