This week, the Brentwood School District celebrated College and Careers Week, engaging students across all grade levels in meaningful exploration of career opportunities and pathways to post-secondary success.
Throughout the week, the youngest learners envisioned their future professions, while middle and high school students participated in activities such as completing Naviance surveys during their English Language Arts classes. These efforts were designed to align students' unique interests with potential career and academic opportunities, fostering a culture of planning and exploration for life beyond graduation.
“We are incredibly proud of our students’ enthusiasm and participation during College and Career Week,” said Wayne Abenes, District Guidance Coordinator, “This initiative not only inspires students to dream big but also equips them with tools to take actionable steps toward their futures.”
The week’s activities were supported by the dedication of educators and families, whose collaboration was key in making the initiative a success. College and Career Week aligns closely with the district’s Graduation Plus initiative, which ensures every BUFSD student graduates prepared and empowered to pursue their individual path to success.
