Brentwood Women Fight Back Against Breast Cancer Walk Draws Great Community Crowd and Support

On a gorgeous afternoon marking the first Saturday in May, the Brentwood community came out in force to take part in the third annual Brentwood Women Fight Back Against Breast Cancer walk and brunch. The event took place at Brentwood High School, with the walk on the track followed by speakers and brunch in the Sonderling Center cafeteria.

Many community members came out to support the event, including Suffolk County Legislator Samuel Gonzalez and the Sons of Liberty comprised of many Brentwood alumni. In addition, the Board of Education was present at the event along with BHS students representing the girls' lacrosse, badminton, and cheerleading teams. Following a photo with survivors and fighters, the group of strollers took to the track to some great music and companionship as all were invited to take part in the walk to raise awareness and support finding a cure for breast cancer.

Special thanks goes out to all of our speakers and sponsors and all who made this wonderful event a success in our community!
