The Brentwood special education department recently unveiled its Practical Assessment Exploration System Lab at Brentwood High School. The PAES Lab serves as an environment to measure and strengthen postsecondary abilities and goals based on age-appropriate transition assessments related to training, education, employment and independent living.
In the lab, students engage in work-based learning activities covering topics such as business, marketing, computer technologies, construction, industrial and processing. The hands-on activities provide students with real-world experiences to strengthen their postsecondary opportunities.
A special thanks to the Brentwood Union Free School District Board of Education, administrators, teachers and support staff who made this possible!
