Students from the My Brother's Keeper (MBK) chapter of Brentwood were personally invited to attend the opening of the New York State Legislative Session earlier this month. The students, along with Superintendent Loeschner, traveled to Albany at the request of Legislator Phil Ramos.

The group was announced from the Assembly floor and recognized for their community service initiatives. The legislators also took time to answer questions and speak about the need for greater compromise in the assembly.
