Brentwood Board of Education Honors Teachers for Earning National Board Certification

At the Jan. 18 meeting of the Brentwood Union Free School District Board of Education, the Board recognized four outstanding educators from the District who earned their National Board Certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.

The teachers recognized were Southwest Elementary School kindergarten teacher Jennifer Goldhaber for earning her certification in English as a New Language: Early and Middle Childhood-Path 2 English Development Specialist; Pine Park Elementary School kindergarten ENL teacher Lauren Neusy for earning her certification in English as a New Language: Early and Middle Childhood-Path 2 English Development Specialist; Twin Pines Elementary School teacher Holly O’Keefe for earning her certification in Literacy: Reading Language Arts-Early and Middle Childhood; and Southwest Elementary School special education teacher Lauren Schnal for earning her certification in Exceptional Needs Specialist/Early Childhood Through Young Adulthood.

The National Board Certification is the most respected professional certification available in education and provides numerous benefits to teachers, students and schools. Congratulations to these incredible teachers on their dedication and commitment to the students of Brentwood Schools.
