STEAM Club Sparks Creativity and Innovation at Laurel Park

Laurel Park Elementary School’s STEAM Club has become a favorite opportunity for many Brentwood fifth-grade students, offering hands-on experiences that combine learning with creativity and collaboration. 

Started two years ago by teacher Marie Buckvar, the club was created around the idea that some of the most meaningful learning takes place when students are actively engaged and enjoying the process. Meeting twice each week, students participate in activities that challenge them to think creatively, work with peers and apply concepts in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.
