Southeast Elementary Students Complete ‘Beautiful Me’ Program

Fifth-grade students at Southeast Elementary recently completed the Beautiful Me program this week – a program by the Hance Family Foundation that helps young girls build confidence, positive self-identity and self-esteem.

This directly supports the district’s Graduation PLUS+ initiative, by creating space for students to reflect on and explore their identities. Students took part in activities and discussions designed to encourage self-care, self-acceptance, life skills and resilience to face challenges such as body image and social pressure.
