PSEG Long Island Visits Loretta Park for Safety Lesson

Fifth grade students at Loretta Park Elementary School recently participated in a series of electrical safety workshops led by PSEG Long Island, bringing hands-on STEM learning into the classroom.

The day included six workshops focused on the science of electricity and safe practices. Students explored how electrical circuits work and learned to identify potential hazards associated with electricity.

The sessions connected classroom learning with real-world applications, giving students an opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals. Through the workshops, students examined how power travels and discussed ways to stay safe in everyday situations involving electricity.

The program also introduced students to potential careers in the energy and utility fields. By interacting with professionals from PSEG Long Island, students gained exposure to roles related to engineering, infrastructure and electrical services.
