North Middle School recently hosted its fourth annual Community Plaza Bilingual/ENL Family Event, celebrating student achievement and providing essential resources to the local community.

The event, themed "Bilingual Superpowers," brought families together for a breakfast and an awards ceremony recognizing performance on the New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT). School officials reported that 72% of students who took the exam showed measurable growth in their English language proficiency over the past year.

In addition to the academic recognition, the gathering served as a resource fair. Representatives from more than 10 local organizations were on hand to provide information on community services.

To further support families, the school distributed coats, backpacks, and various school supplies during the event.
