Mental Health and Wellness Fair Connects Families with Community Resources

Music, performances and conversations about wellness filled Brentwood High School’s Sonderling gymnasium on May 11 as the Brentwood School District hosted its fourth annual Mental Health and Wellness Fair. 

Organized by the district’s Office of Health, Psychological and Social Work Services, the event featured 108 tables including 83 hosted by community agencies and vendors and 25 presented by Brentwood students from the elementary, middle and high school levels.  

Families connected with community partners while exploring activities, wellness resources and informational displays centered on mental health awareness and support services. 

Throughout the evening, students and families visited booths offering positive-affirmation stickers, giveaways and interactive activities, while a calming station provided space for students to regroup and practice grounding strategies. The fair also highlighted resources available to individuals and families navigating mental health challenges privately during Mental Health Awareness Month. 

Student groups including ROTC, COPA, Drumline, Step and Dance Club performed throughout the evening, bringing music and energy to the event. Donations from Island Harvest and Pronto were also made available to families in attendance.
