Medical Students Share Healthcare Career Paths at Brentwood High School

The Career Education Office at Brentwood High School recently partnered with Stony Brook University’s “Doctors Back to School” program on May 8 to give students an inside look at careers in healthcare.

More than 20 medical students visited classrooms throughout the day, speaking with students about their academic journeys, clinical experiences and the path to medical school. Presenters discussed topics including healthcare specialties, medical school preparation and the day-to-day realities of working in the medical field.

The program gave students an opportunity to ask questions and connect directly with future healthcare professionals, helping them gain a clearer understanding of careers in medicine and related fields.

School officials said the experience was especially meaningful for students interested in pursuing healthcare careers, as it provided firsthand insight into the profession while encouraging students to explore future opportunities.
