History Takes the Stage at Southeast for Presidents Day

Students at Southeast Elementary School marked Presidents Day with a high-energy musical celebration that brought history to life inside the school gymnasium.

Dressed in costume, music teacher Ms. Byrne led students through patriotic songs and interactive performances that had the entire room on its feet. Costumed Abraham Lincoln and George Washington made special appearances, delighting students and reinforcing lessons about leadership and the nation’s founding.

The program blended music, movement and storytelling, giving students an engaging way to connect with the history and significance of Presidents Day, a federal holiday observed on the third Monday in February to honor past U.S. presidents.
