East Middle School Honors Top English Learners

East Middle School celebrated students who reached the Commanding level on the NYSESLAT exam, the highest measure of English language proficiency, at a breakfast luncheon Friday. Students who reached this milestone have demonstrated exceptional command of English in a short period of time. The room buzzed with excitement as students smiled, laughed, and cheered for each other while their names were called to receive certificates.  Teachers were also recognized for their dedication in guiding students to impressive growth, helping them reach new heights.
