District Hosts ‘Noche de las Estrellas’ Honoring English Language Learners

Noche de las Estrellas (Night of the Stars) at the Brentwood Union Free School District was a resounding success, honoring students and families for their achievements and perseverance.

The event featured a sit-down dinner served by staff and volunteers, certificate presentations, student performances and family-oriented games, creating an atmosphere of celebration and unity.

Many honorees were students identified as Students with Interrupted Formal Education, referred to by the acronym SIFE – a designation for English language learners who have experienced gaps in formal schooling and may require additional academic supports.

All our student honorees exemplify a deep sense of purpose and distinction, reflecting Brentwood’s broader goal of fostering academic achievement and future success.

Special thanks to the Family Community Center team for putting on this wonderful event year after year.
