On Wednesday, Sept. 24, the Brentwood Family Community Center provided COPA High School students with an unforgettable opportunity to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by attending a professional soccer match between Inter Miami and NYCFC. For many students, it was their first time experiencing the energy and excitement of a live stadium event.

The outing was more than just a game – it was a celebration of culture, community and one of the most beloved sports across the Americas. Students were thrilled to see Lionel Messi, one of the greatest soccer players of all time, live in action. The match featured four exciting goals, delicious food and a vibrant atmosphere that made the day truly memorable.

Soccer, often referred to as America’s fastest-growing pastime, served as the perfect backdrop for this cultural celebration.
