Capital improvement projects are underway across the Brentwood school district this summer, with major renovations taking place at the high school’s Sonderling Center to enhance learning spaces and campus facilities.

The courtyards on both sides of the Sonderling breezeway are being refreshed, including the restoration of two water features originally installed in 2010. The improvements are intended to enhance the campus environment for students.

Several classrooms are receiving upgrades, including new light fixtures, ceilings and ductwork. The Sonderling cafeteria is undergoing a complete renovation with new ceilings, walls and flooring, while the auditorium is receiving new wall paneling and carpeting.

Two of the largest projects are taking shape behind the building. A renovated turf football field and track will provide updated athletic facilities, while a new culinary center will give students access to industry-standard kitchen equipment and culinary technology.

These projects are among several taking place across the district this summer. Additional updates will be shared as construction progresses.
