Building A Better Brentwood: Capital Work Continues Throughout the District

Construction crews are hard at work getting our facilities ready for the new school year. Thanks to the support of our community, we continue to modernize our buildings and enrich the student experience.

At Brentwood High School, both the parking lot resurfacing and the brand-new bleachers are nearing completion. Elsewhere on campus, the renovated 9/11 Memorial is shaping up beautifully as brick layers reconstruct and beautify the entire outdoor space. A new border fence now stands along the east side of the high school.

In just a few short weeks, the sounds of squeaking sneakers will fill the gymnasiums at Laurel Park and Loretta Park elementary schools, which have been sanded and resurfaced. Additionally, Laurel Park now has a new bus canopy, while Loretta Park’s new food services warehouse is progressing nicely.

These are just some of the many projects happening this summer. Additional work across the district includes bathroom renovations, library improvements at West and East middle schools, Hemlock, Loretta Park and Southeast, as well as installation of air conditioning in communal areas and widespread upgrades to ceilings and lighting.
