Brentwood’s Incoming Freshmen Tour Their New Home

Future ninth graders got an early introduction to high school life during the Fresh Start Summit on June 6 at Brentwood’s Freshman Campus. 

The program provided students with opportunities to build connections, gain confidence and become familiar with the school community before the start of the new school year. Throughout the day, students participated in hands-on STEM activities – including an enormous harvest from the school’s state-of-the-art Flex Acre hydroponic grow wall – English language arts challenges and experiences designed to encourage collaboration and engagement. 

The summit concluded with a Field Day-style event featuring games, teamwork activities and school spirit. Along the way, students met peers and staff members while learning more about what to expect as they begin their high school journey. The experience reinforced Brentwood’s districtwide GraduationPLUS+ initiative and commitment to helping students feel connected, supported and ready for the year ahead.
