Brentwood Opens New Softball Field with Ribbon Cutting, Victory Over Central Islip

Brentwood Athletics marked a milestone with the opening of its new softball field, celebrating with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a strong showing on the field.

Under sunny skies and favorable conditions, the event brought together district leaders, students and community members to recognize the completion of the new facility. The ceremony highlighted the district’s continued investment in athletic programs and student opportunities.

Superintendent of Schools Wanda Ortiz-Rivera and members of the Board of Education joined administrators and supporters in attendance. Organizers expressed appreciation for their ongoing commitment to Brentwood’s student-athletes and extracurricular programs.

Community members, including representatives from BCF, attended the ceremony and remained to support the team during its game against Central Islip. Brentwood’s softball team capped off the day with a decisive victory, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.

The new field provides an upgraded home for the softball program and is expected to enhance the student-athlete experience for years to come. The project reflects a broader effort to support athletics while fostering school pride and community engagement.
