Brentwood Educators Face Off in Spirited Competition

The gym at Brentwood High School was alive with energy on Oct. 20 as staff from North Elementary and Southwest Elementary faced off in a lively evening of friendly competition, laughter, and school spirit.

Teachers raced through relays, zipped across the floor on scooters, and kept the crowd on its feet as cheerleaders from both schools led chants that echoed beyond the building. The final score was close (56-54) with North taking the win, though everyone left feeling like champions.

Adding to the excitement, Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education Ann Palmer received a surprise tribute recognizing her upcoming retirement in December. Palmer was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a sash reading “Retiree,” prompting cheers and applause from the packed audience.

The event captured the true spirit of Brentwood – a community that celebrates together, supports one another, and never misses an opportunity for a little friendly fun.
