Superintendent’s Goals

2010-2011

Goal #1:  Improve student achievement.

Strategies/Activities:

1.1.            Create comprehensive educational plans with data driven goals.

1.2.            Provide professional development to address literacy across the grade levels and across the disciplines.

1.3.            Focus on matching the language of the classroom instruction with the language of the assessments.

1.4.            Improve the questioning skills of our students.

Goal #2:  Mine the data.

Strategies/Activities:

2.1.            Continue to analyze the effectiveness of all programs and initiatives district-wide.

2.2.            Present data periodically to the Board, leadership teams, teachers and parents.

Goal #3:  Ensure that all policies are efficiently and effectively implemented.         

Strategies/Activities:

3.1.            Provide directions to all administrators regarding all policies.

3.2.            Review policies on an on-going basis.

Goal #4:  Streamline operations.

Strategies/Activities:

4.1.            Deliver services in a more cost effective manner to help offset the effects of State budget cuts on the students and District facilities.

4.2.            Restructure operations to make more efficient use of scarce District resources and to optimize worker productivity.
